To celebrate Helmut Lang Re-Edition, Isabella Burley teamed up with Exactitudes for a photo project highlighting the brand’s biggest cross-generational collectors and fans wearing Volume 1 and 2, as well as their own personal collections from the brand.
Exactitudes was established in 1994, by Ari Versluis and Ellie Uyttenbroek, as a photographic project which is all about documenting global communities and underground subculture. Versluis and Uyttenbroek’s signature is to find and photograph people with similar obsessions and aesthetics that are usually perceived as countercultural and underground, later displayed in a three-by-four grid. As you may have already figured out, this campaign is shot by the founders of Exactitudes, also marks their very first collaboration with a brand and stars none other than Kanye West, Solange Knowles, Eric Lawrence, Rhamier Auguste and many more.
Helmut Lang is known for creating timeless pieces which makes the customers want to collect different pieces from every collection. Solange has the Tom of England T-shirt and Helmut Lang by Shayne Oliver shorts on while Kanye West can be seen wearing his own HL archery tips along with a hooded parka and shirt from the Re-Edition Vol.1.
The other collectors are he Re-Edition Vol.1 is now available online at HELMUTLANG.COM and in stores. We have to wait a few more weeks for Vol.2 which will be available on Feb 6th, 2018.
